SIGNATURE QUILT Our quilt is coming along—but there are many more squares available. Please order your square today and become part of our history. You print your name and a message on a strip of material, then mail it to Cathy Myers at 6506 Harvest Grove, Greely ON K4P 1E8 She will sew it into a quilt which will be displayed at the office. An excellent way to acknowledge our out-of-town members and supporters! Each quilt square is just $5.00. WORKSHOPS We are happy to offer everyone who attends a CCPRN workshop a Certificate of Attendance at the end of each workshop (this does not include the OEYC workshops listed in our newsletter). Please note that we have several new workshops – some of which are for Infants/Toddlers. SURVEY OF RATES AND SATISFACTION Please fill this out on-line (or request a paper copy) before Oct. 31st. We would like to publish the results in the Jan/Feb newsletter. We use the rate information to give out to caregivers and parents. We use the satisfaction information to improve the quality of our programs. MEMBERSHIP DRIVE Phase 1: Congratulations to Laura Laforest for winning the resource basket. Thank you to all who participated – we received 16 new members from this first phase of our membership drive. Phase 2: Advertising, is ongoing; Board and staff participated in the Baby Boom Expo at the Nepean Sportsplex. We gave out many membership pamphlets as well as information to parents (to help increase the numbers of parents calling for care). We will be at the Welcome Wagon expo in October as well as other upcoming events. We also plan to advertise in local newspapers – please send in the contact information for the newspapers you receive. Phase 3: For every new member you bring to CCPRN we will add 2 months to your membership. For this to work we need you or the new member to inform us of the referral. Our goal: 50 new members by the end of the year. FUNDRAISING Many thanks to all of you who ordered Stik-ees and who participated in the Epicurean Spice party. We made over $200.00 with these two events. We will use this money to buy another die cutter for the office. A reminder that you have until mid-December to order your Mabel’s Labels. If you have any fundraising ideas please call the office. CAREGIVER DINNER It is time to start planning the dinner again – where, when, how… We welcome all new volunteers to help us make this year’s dinner the best ever. Call any of your office staff to volunteer your time for this or any other activity/program. DIE CUT BAGS Please let us know if you would like a die cut bag – Fall ($15), Halloween ($15), Christmas ($20) – we will do our best to have volunteers prepare the packages. When possible we will take them to special events/workshops. If you live in Orleans, Barrhaven or Stittsville we can arrange pick up from a staff member’s mailbox.
